This month we’re getting to know Maggie and Barley from Triple C Brewing Company. You’ll find them at the brewery most weekdays with their dad, founder Chris Harker.
Keep an eye out for Maggie and Barley’s names on Triple C’s tap list. The brewery’s two foeders – the big wooden tanks used to ferment sours – are named after the dogs, as are their base beers. First in the new series: a small-batch golden sour named Maggie, which dropped Sept. 26.

How did Barley get her name?
We got Barley after we started the brewery, and with her pretty brown coat the name seemed perfect.
What’s the weirdest thing she does?
Barley gets very excited to see you if you have been away for a while and makes a very strange, high-pitched noise over and over and over and over and over.
Favorite time of year to get outside with the dogs?
My dogs come to work with me every day, but we love going to the Whitewater Center when it isn’t too busy.
